About me.
My name is Tracy Haitana, I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with more than 11 years experience working across a range of health settings. My training covered three broad clinical areas - namely adult psychopathology, child and family mental health, and the forensic area .
I have specialist expertise in the area of complex clinical presentations, risk, trauma and the integration of clinical and cultural information.

Training.
I completed my postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology in 2007 at the University of Canterbury and have worked across multiple contexts since this time including the Department of Corrections, ACC and the University of Otago, Māori Indigenous Health Institute (MIHI) where I am involved in clinical research and teaching. Since graduating, I have completed further training in the areas of risk assessment, trauma, group intervention, and clinical supervision, and trained in therapy modalities including CBT, solution-focused therapy, mentalization, dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR.
I am currently working towards my doctorate completing research in the area of bipolar disorder.
